J. Berra Engineering is offering a tried-and-proven product with the tools to implement it and “grow it” in the years to come.

We offer several formats, any of which can be customized to your district.

  1. Red Notebook Version of the Crisis Management Plan for Schools®

  The Red Notebook Crisis Management Plan for Schools ® is intended for the Superintendent, Principals, and Primary Responders.

  The 4th Edition is our current edition. It has been updated to include the NIMS-National Incident Management System and ICS-Incident Command System as initiated by Homeland Security Presidential Directive-5. It also includes Pandemic Influenza Preparation as the 38th Crisis.

  The Plan is offered on a License basis only. We do not offer single copies of the Plan.

  The District License Agreement allows a school district to reproduce copies of the copyrighted Crisis Management Plan for Schools®, either in its original form or after customizing. See Affordable.

  2. Electronic Version of the complete Plan on CD-ROM

  The Crisis Management Plan for Schools ® is also available in a CD format.

  The CD is in Adobe Acrobat format, with easy point-and-click usage. If your district owns or purchases a copy of the Adobe Acrobat Professional program, you will be able to:

  • Download the Plan to one or many computers, either PC or Mac. Once downloaded, the Plan may be placed on one’s desktop with an icon called “Crisis Plan” for one-click access in the heat of a crisis.
  • Personalize the 38 responses with textual changes and save them, updating whenever necessary to keep the Plan a “living document”.
  • Personalize names and phone numbers and keep them current.
  • Personalize the cover to your district or building.
  • View any page onscreen with the instantaneous click technology.
  • Print any page or the whole Plan onto paper.
  • Project onto a large screen for training purposes.
  • Transmit the Plan electronically to any employee within your licensed district.

  The price of the CD is based on the number of schools in the district.

  3. & 4. The Crisis Management Plan for Teachers in a handy flipchart or in an electronic version

  The Crisis Management Plan for Teachers is a complete listing of the teachers' responsibilities, in a breakout from the full Schools manual. It offers the same full-color flowchart format. It eliminates the material that is not applicable to teachers, but still gives them a grasp of the full school-wide response.

  The size and pricing of the Teachers manual makes it possible for a district to fully implement the Crisis Management Plan for Schools, by having a response plan on every teacher's desk or computer desktop.

  5. & 6. The Crisis Management Plan for Bus Drivers in a handy flipchart or in an electronic version

  The Crisis Management Plan for Bus Drivers is similar to the Teachers flipchart but with fewer pages. We can also supply flipcharts for any other designated responders.
